Stephanie Winter, PMHNP-BC

Stephanie Winter is a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in adult & geriatric mental health care. Her empathetic & person-centered approach ensures that each client receives individualized attention & support tailored to their unique needs & circumstances. Stephanie believes that a strong therapeutic alliance is the foundation for successful mental health outcomes & is committed to building a trusting relationship with each person she serves.

She is passionate about mental health & deeply committed to helping her clients achieve a balanced & fulfilling life. With a warm & non-judgmental approach, Stephanie creates a safe space where individuals can openly discuss their concerns & challenges.

Stephanie obtained her R.N. from Highland Community College in Freeport, IL. She worked for many years in her local community as a R.N. case manager, inpatient psychiatric nurse, & public health nurse. She then obtained her BSN from Grand Canyon University & her MSN from the University of Illinois at Chicago/Rockford where she specialized in psychiatric mental health nursing. She & her husband, 3 children, & miniature schnauzer have resided in Arizona since 2017 where she has worked as a PMHNP. 

Marilizabeth Birk is an American Nurses Credentialing Center board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner  (PMHNP-BC) with a background in psychiatric nursing & intensive outpatient therapy. She incorporates mindfulness & self-reflection with medication therapy & has experience treating depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, & psychotic disorders in children, adolescents, & adults.

Marilizabeth completed her Bachelor's degree at the University of Washington, her RN from Paradise Valley Community College & her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at South College in Tennessee. She has worked with clients from coast to coast with cultural competence. Marilizabeth has a background in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), & client-centered care, alongside medication therapy. 

Originally from Washington State, Marilizabeth moved to the Valley of the Sun in 1997.  It is in Phoenix that she has found warmth & health while residing with her husband, sons & 5 large rescue dogs.
